Music Contact International first invited German choir groups to sing in Spain in 1979 and has since hosted choirs from all over the world. Over the past 20 years we have formed partnerships in countries such as Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, and the USA. Each office is an independent company and works closely together to offer first class customized choir concert tour programs and invitational festivals throughout Europe and the United States.

Our affiliated offices have contacts in the above countries and local choir associations which allows us to provide all choirs with personal contacts together with enthusiastic audiences and interesting venues.


PLANNING & SERVICES
 

Planning

Music Contact International plans each concert tour to the choir's needs and requirements. Travel times, musical requirements, venue preferences, budget etc., -each is shaped to meet the individual needs of each choir.

Music Contact International offers SAMPLE PROGRAMS to broaden awareness of available destinations and of alternative itineraries. We help choirs decide the best time to travel, taking into consideration weather, costs, and special events along the way such as art festivals or holidays which might add to the excitement of a visit to a certain country. We will point out cost-saving considerations - flights may be less expensive during weekdays (Monday through Thursday), group rates, etc.

Once an itinerary takes shape, Music Contact International will recommend specific concerts with local choirs. These concerts allow for a very personal exchange with local singers, generate great interest with keen audiences from the local community which result in interesting venues in the choir's village, town or city.
 

Customized Handbook

Before departure for the concert tour, each choir will receive a customized handbook. The handbook will include the choir's name, a detailed itinerary, information about the history and local customs of the areas being visited, and recommendations for restaurants in cities where dinners and lunches have not been pre-arranged.
 

Hotel Standards

Music Contact International offers hotels which meet the requirements of the choir's budget -whether 3 or 4-star category, which offer the amenities for a comfortable and happy stay. If a group has free time, it is important that people are able to walk to explore the area , so the hotels need to be centrally located. We, therefore, select hotels with easy access to the local sights that may be of interest to the choir.
 

Motor Coach Standards

Since many choirs also choose to travel by road entailing long distances, Music Contact International takes special care in selecting the motor coaches in which the choir will travel. The motor coaches are modern with full facilities including W.C, reclining seats, video player and pleasant interiors. Our drivers are efficient and helpful and ready to assist whilst en route.
 

Guides and Escorts

Music Contact International provides on request a full-time escort to accompany the choir during its entire tour. The escort stays with the choir from arrival at the airport until the end of the tour. The escort will handle all the logistics of the program so the director is free to concentrate on the choir's concerts. Additionally, local guides conduct city tours along the route and focus their information on the significant music history of the region. We can also arrange for the tours to be customized according to the choir's special interests and, whenever possible, include any additional sights they would like to visit.

For example, some choirs in the past have requested tours focusing on the history of Mozart's years in Vienna whilst others choirs have requested tours that focus on the contemporary music and art of Paris. Music Contact International are proud of our record in accomplishing such requirements.
 

Publicity in your Home Community
We provide brochure and poster material about the countries to which you will be travelling that can be distributed to those considering the program. We can also send you multiple copies of the program, the itinerary, and registration forms to help promote the tour in your home community.
 

Confirming Concert Venues

Our partner offices throughout Europe and the USA, with support from local governments and choir associations, assist us in confirming exciting concert venues. Therefore a biography of the choir and the director, a photograph of the choir and, if possible, a tape or CD recording of a choir performance should be produced. Eventually they will also need the music that will be performed at any sacred venue.
